The Client Brief

Jerry already had a beautiful vision for her home and we were very honoured to be a part of it. Her main issues with her previous property were space, storage and continuity of style.

It was important that her vision for her kitchen and cabinetry was realised. She wanted to ensure that all of her cabinetry fit in with the overall home design and aesthetic.

Timeframes were also important, as her family were renting whilst the renovation was taking place she needed to complete the entire build in 6 months - no longer. We needed to ensure each project milestone was met and that we did not hold up the building process for the builder she had employed.

The Challenge

Jerry already had a clear vision for her kitchen and the challenge here was to ensure that the end result matched that vision. We had to incorporate our knowledge and expertise without diluting her vision for her home to ensure we had a good balance between creativity and functionality.

We also had to complete the build within the timeframes set. The challenge was to plan and execute our already finely tuned process with very little room to move.

The Design Solution

We incorporated timber highlights throughout the kitchen to break up the white and add visual interest. The same timber veneer was used in other areas of the home to pull the cabinetry elements together.

For the corner pantry cupboard, additional shelves were added internally in order to utilise dead corner space and improve accessibility. Easy to open and soft close drawers make everything readily accessible. Having access to the rear of the bench top made items more readily available. We added a ‘mud’ cupboard to the entry where coats, bags and dirty shoes could be put away upon home entry.

We custom designed all the cabinetry to suit the family’s unique needs. Each wardrobe, cabinet and storage solution was specifically designed to meet the needs of each family member.

The Result

We collaborated with Jerry and came up with cabinetry and joinery solutions for her home that offered her practicality but also brought her vision to life.

Each cabinetry and storage solution met the needs of each individual within the home offering practicality and functionality combined with a beautiful aesthetic that allowed for continuity of style within the home.

From the kitchen, to the wardrobes and the laundry, every piece of cabinetry complements each other, adding to the overall cohesiveness of this home.
