This information will be our first point of reference, so please do indicate how you and your family would like to use your rooms, and feel free to express your practical and aesthetic likes and dislikes.

6 essentials to bring to your design consultation

Make the most of your design session by bringing as many of the following items with you as you can:

 

1) Existing drawings & plans

For an in Studio visit drawings and plans are extremely helpful, however, these are not required for an on-site or in-home consultation appointment. For a Design Studio visit, the drawing or plans can be simple hand-drawn dimensioned room plans, but we do need to have the windows, doors, ceiling heights, etc... shown, along with any other features that may hinder the placement of cabinetry.

 

2) Structural works

Information on any structural work you might need or that is being planned. Let us know if you will be living at the property during the renovation process and whether you require any planning permissions? 

 

3) Inspirational/reference images

Images and photos of how you'd like your completed project to look and feel will also help us in establishing your style preferences. The Balnei & Colina Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest pages are the perfect places to start.

 

4) Appliance & PC Item Information

Optional. Although early in the planning process, if there are any items you have on your wish list you'd definitely like to include as part of your plan; for eg that freestanding stone bath you love or a steam oven you simply can't do without, please bring this list with you to your Balnei & Colina Design Studio appointment. 

 

5) Start & Finish Dates 

Planned start and end dates for your project. That way we can help establish a preliminary timeframe for the delivery of your project.

 

6) Budget

Most important of all is establishing how much you'd like to spend on your project so that the team at Balnei & Colina can design to suit your budget.

Our design team will work with you to create a kitchen, bathroom, and joinery renovation solution that will not only transform any room in your home but also revolutionise the way you use and enjoy it.

Once you have approved your initial concept and are ready to take the next step, our designer will then work with you to create more detailed design drawings and plans. These include 3D visuals and orthographic drawings, that detail the internal specification of the cabinets and drawers as well as provide solutions for any awkward spaces. We will also incorporate any individual requirements you may have into the design.
