The Client Brief

From the moment we embarked on this kitchen adventure with our wonderful client, it was clear this was going to be a transformative journey! Her goal? To take her cramped, boxed-in kitchen and turn it into a stunning open-plan space filled with light and life. She wanted a kitchen that not only functioned beautifully but also made it easy for her to whip up meals and share time with friends and family.

The Challenge

Every great transformation comes with its challenges! The biggest hurdle was tackling the installation of the rangehood, as traditional ducting through the ceiling just wasn’t possible. But in every challenge lies an opportunity, and we were ready to rise to the occasion!

The Design Solution

Introducing the hero of our story: the downdraft rangehood! This sleek and stylish solution swooped in to save the day, ensuring that steam and grease are whisked away without the need for bulky ducting. Next, we rolled up our sleeves and knocked down several walls, creating the illusion of a larger space overall. Our new U-shaped kitchen layout emerged, with an extended island that promised not just more counter space but a dedicated space for meal prep as well as a place to gather with friends and family. With a palette of neutral tones, we designed a new kitchen that radiated timeless elegance, fresh, clean, and inviting.

The Result

This kitchen transformation was nothing short of magical. The kitchen now flows into an open-plan living room, full of light and spacious. Our client can now move effortlessly as she prepares meals, entertains guests, or simply enjoys a quiet moment with a cup of coffee. She loves her new kitchen more than words can say, and we couldn’t be happier to have been a part of this exciting journey. Here’s to a new space that truly feels like home.
