The Client Brief

We were lucky and honoured when our lovely Northbridge clients engaged us to renovate their home. Our client's brief comprised creating a larger kitchen that would evolve with her young family and be custom-built for entertaining family and friends. Her current kitchen lacked storage and functionality, was cramped and did not adequately service the needs of a growing family.

The Challenge

To overhaul the existing living room floor plan to create a balanced ratio between key living areas (kitchen, dining & lounge) and still meet the client's brief of creating an entertainers kitchen. 

The Design Solution

Several walls were removed to create a more open-plan layout where our client could work in the kitchen and still feel connected to adjoining living areas. The kitchen was re-oriented so that it faced the main living rooms enabling a clear line of sight so that our client could comfortably keep an eye on young children and still have easy access to other areas of the home like the garage, bath and laundry spaces. A butler's pantry was designed and constructed to give our client greater storage and space to remove clutter and mess from the central kitchen when entertaining guests. The laundry and bathroom layouts were re-configured and optimised for this family's unique needs.

The Result

Beautiful and functional kitchen, bath and laundry spaces designed and built to meet the needs of this growing family. Our clients love entertaining in the new kitchen and enjoy every minute of their newly renovated home.
